Well as you can see my Xbox 360 gamertag on the sidebar of this site is now functioning again. It turns out that it was not working because the Xbox Live site was being hit so hard by visitors from the halo 3 launch that they were having troubles yesterday. Well seeing its still functioning right, I guess I’ll leave it up a little longer, even though its not going to be updated, because my Xbox 360 Elite is all boxed up, and ready to go.

Well I have decided to sell my Xbox 360 Elite that I bought this August on its launch day. Its not that I don’t like my 360, in fact I love it, its just that I don’t play it as much as I use to, and I could use the money I get from selling it for other more important things. I know, I know whats more important than gaming. Well I don’t know if it is in fact more important, but I need to fix my automobile so I can get from one place to another, You know to buy games. Anyway I put it up for auction on ebay, and made one final video with it. The video is kind of a little last review of the system, and then I box it up, to get it ready for ebay. So anyway I pulled my Xbox live account off of the Elite before listing it, and noticed that my gamercard on the sidebar of the front page of this site is now none functioning, so I guess I will be taking that off soon. I hope I still have my AmazinAaron account on Xbox live, because I plan on getting another Xbox 360 later on.
Nintendo has just confirmed WI-FI play for Super Smash Bros. Brawl on there Super Smash Bros. DOJO site. They have confirmed the ability to play with friends you have registered, and the ability to play with anyone in a mode called well “With Anyone”. There are also details about a limited chat feature where you can taunt the other players by pressing the control pad up, down, left, or right for four different messages. Doesn’t sound like much of a feature, but oh well its a feature, and I’m sure they will put it on the box. The funny thing about the announcement is the way its worded. It is written like they are talking to an 8 year old, or something. Describing how you connect with others players through a wi-fi connection it says:
This game supports Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. If you connect your Wii to the Internet, you can enjoy linked battles with distant people!…..
…But because this form of communication is greatly affected by the distance between you and your opponent, your brawls may not run smoothly if you’re really far apart—like, for instance, if you’re connecting between Japan and America.
The more distant you are, the worse your connection becomes, and the slower it feels. I apologize, but I hope you understand.
To help with “psychological barriers” It also goes on to say:
If you think of your opponent as a simple scarecrow, any psychological barriers may melt away.
Kinda funny way to word it. Definitely a lot different than the way the likes of Sony, or Microsoft would word it, but I guess thats what there going for, the casual audience. In some ways I thinks this is funny and good for the industry, but I also feel like Nintendos really starting to forget about the gamers that have supported them and kept them in business all these years. Oh well, We will see how it goes. I mean if they keep putting out great games like it seems Smash Bros. brawls is going to be like, and they feel the need to “dumb down” the way they talk to us, and the rest of there new “casual gamers” I guess I’m okay with that, but if they start “dumbing down” there games, and stop putting out great games like were all use to, then thats when I have a problem with it.
I know I haven’t updated this page much in the past months, but I have been posting a lot of interesting things on my Tumblr page “Amazing Aaron’s Web Collective“. So be sure to check it out as well as this page. If you don’t know what a Tumblr blog is, its a “micro blog” where you post things you find around the web. Its very easy to post to (Hench the reason I have been keeping it fresh), you just click a button in your browser toolbar when you find something interesting and it post it to your Tumblr blog. If you don’t have a Tumblr Blog then head over to there page and get one, and please post the link to yours in the comments to this post, and I’ll check it out.
Nintendo needs a badge like Microsoft has with its Xbox live badge. That way I code embed it onto my web page like I have my Xbox 360 one, and you guys (all 2 of you) can keep up with what I’m playing. Maybe one day they will. With all the things there doing lately, like browsers on both the DS, and the Wii, you would think it would be a natural move for them, but it hasn’t happened yet. I think there up to something with all the resent restructuring of the company, and now this take down of Nsider forums, maybe there moving the forums onto a space on the web only the DS and Wii can access, maybe though a Wii channel or something like that. That would be cool, or maybe they just feel like being strange. I don’t know. I guess if I had a company with that much money, I would just be doing crazy stuff to, and my press release explaining my actions would be “I felt like it.”. I also would not be surprised if they just decide to do away with Nintendo Power Magazine sometime soon, and take it online only for free, probably with a channel on both your DS, and Wii for easy access. I would also say if they did this there would be someway to access back issues of the magazine. President of Nintendo America Reggie Fils-Aime is the one who had that idea, and it sounds like a good one to me. I mean with all the re-releases of the older games on there virtual console those magazines are like gold with all there tips, tricks, and strategies for them. Plus there just fun to look through. Anyway thats my 2 dollars worth of comments on Nintendo. Talk to you later.
